About us
The Lucky Penny began with a simple idea: that the smallest things often mean the most.
Founded in Potomac Village, The Lucky Penny is a thoughtfully curated gift and home shop rooted in the joy of everyday moments. Each item on our shelves is chosen with intention, meant to be given, lived with, and loved. From timeless home accents to meaningful gifts and seasonal finds, we focus on pieces that feel personal, useful, and quietly special.
Behind the shop is Danielle, a lifelong collector with an eye for detail and a deep belief that gifting is an extension of care and kindness. The Lucky Penny grew from her love of finding that just-right item, the one that says, I was thinking of you, without needing many words.
Whether you’re shopping for someone else or treating yourself, we hope you find something that feels like a little bit of luck. With Kindness, Danielle
